Program · Case 03

Accessibility that works on the day, not just on paper.

Brilliant students and professionals with visual, hearing and physical disabilities want to take part in events, but structural and technological barriers keep them out. We remove those barriers, affordably.

The challenge

Why this program exists

Inclusion means more than inviting a diverse audience. It means building environments where participation is frictionless and dignified, without inflating logistical costs.

Key question

How can people with disabilities be integrated into large-scale events effectively and sustainably?

Who: People with disabilities, students Where: Morocco

What we do

The program

  • Accessibility request cards built into registration, so needs are known before people arrive
  • Reserved aisle seating, wider pathways and clear accessible signage
  • Volunteer and staff training on welcoming guests with disabilities
  • Captioning, interpretation and quiet spaces, planned per event
  • Post-event feedback from participants with disabilities

This program grew out of Case 03, “Accessibility and Inclusion for Students with Disabilities”, studied by Kelley students in 2025.
